Pharmacological Action:
Pharmacodynamics
Amoxicillin is a β-lactam antibiotic with a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. The antibacterial spectrum and antibacterial activity are basically the same as that of ampicillin. The antibacterial activity against most gram-positive bacteria is slightly weaker than penicillin, and it is sensitive to penicillinase, so it is ineffective against penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. It has a strong effect on Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteus, Salmonella, Haemophilus, Brucella and Pasteurella, but these bacteria are prone to drug resistance. Not sensitive to Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Because its absorption in monogastric animals is better than that of ampicillin, and its blood concentration is higher, it has a better curative effect on systemic infections. It is suitable for systemic infections of the respiratory system, urinary system, skin and soft tissues caused by sensitive bacteria.
Pharmacokinetics
Amoxicillin is quite stable to gastric acid, 74% to 92% of absorption after oral administration in monogastric animals. The content of the gastrointestinal tract affects its absorption rate, but does not affect the degree of absorption, so it can be mixed feeding. After the same dose is taken orally, the serum concentration of amoxicillin is 1.5 to 3 times higher than that of ampicillin.
Drug Interactions:
(1) Combining this product with aminoglycosides can increase the concentration of the latter in the bacteria, showing a synergistic effect.
The same effect.
(2) Fast-acting bacteriostatic agents such as macrolides, tetracyclines and amido alcohols have an interference effect on the bactericidal effect of this product and should not be used in combination.
Role and use
β-lactam antibiotics. It is used to treat gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria infections that are sensitive to amoxicillin in chickens.
