COMPOSITION:
Each g contains:
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride :100mg.
SPECTRUM OF ACTIVITY:
Oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic, with bacteriostatic action against a large number of Grampositive and Gram-negative organisms, (like streptococci,staphylococci, Pasteurella spp.,
Brucella spp., Corynebacteria spp.,Actinobacillus spp., Eperythrozoon spp., Bordetella spp., Ehrlichia spp., coliforms, Salmonella spp.) and spirochetes,mycoplasmas, Rickettsiae spp., Chlamydia spp. and some protozoa. Activity against Pseudomonas-, Proteus- and Klebsiella spp. is low.
INDICATIONS:
Gastro-intestinal infections (E. coli); enteritis (Salmonella enteritidis, Clostridium perfringens); disturbances of themicrobial gutflora (Streptococcus faecalis, Lactobacillus); atrophic rhinitis (Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica); enzootic pneumonia (Mycoplasma hyopneumonia) and secondary bacterial infections (Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia and Haemophilus parasuis.
ONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Oral administration to mature animals which have a microbiological digestion in the gastro-intestinal system which is essential (horse, cows, guinea-pigs and hamsters). Administration to animals which are hypersensitive for tetracyclines or to animals with serious renal and liver impairments.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For oral administration via the drinking water.
Calves: 10-20 g per 100 kg bodyweight every 12 hours during 3-5 days.
Pigs: 2-4 g per litre drinking water during 3-5 days.
Poultry (broilers): 2-12 g per litre drinking water during 3-7 days.
Poultry (laying hens): 2-6 g per litre drinking water during 3-5 days.
WITHDRAWAL TIME:
Meat: Calves: 8 days
Pigs: 7 days.
Poultry: 5 days.
Eggs: 2 days
STORAGE:
Store closed in a cool and dry place.
SHELF-LIFE:
3 years.
